Jesus Ministries is an apostolic, prophetic, present-truth church born out of the love of God to cater to the spirtual, physical and social needs of the people of Trinidad & Tobago. We firmly believe that the Lord has called us not only to do that which is good but that which is relevant for the time and seasons. We are not just here to have “church” but to fulfill purpose and destiny by having dominion and influence on the earth as we establish the Kingdom by transforming lives and bringing a new quality of kingdom lifestyle.


We are located in the Republic of Trinidad & Tobago in the Caribbean and serve the community of La Horquetta and environs.





LA HORQUETTA

La Horquetta is the home of Trinidad and Tobago's largest housing project. Located in the regional municipality of Arima, the development came into being in the early 1980's as part of the government's drive to alleviate overcrowding in urban areas as well as to improve the general standard of living for it's population.

A major consideration in establishing the housing project was to provide the largest number of housing units within the shortest possible time. Emphasis on providing basic living space was a prime developmental objective with little or no attention being given to social infrastructure. In particular, educational, recreational, security and medical health facilities were not provided in the initial development. Some of these were subsequently installed when the need for these services became acute. In response, two primary schools, one police station, a health centre and two playing fields have been established to date.

Admittedly, residents of La Horquetta are grateful for these facilities but the human and social needs of the community have been neglected to a large extent. The community has not been spared the spiritual, social, educational, economic and other hardships that face communities locally and internationally such as:

  1. The breakdown of social, spiritual and moral values.
  2. The increase in domestic violence.
  3. Child abuse and incest.
  4. Drug addiction and alcoholism.
  5. Juvenile delinquency.
  6. Increase in crime.
  7. Unemployment and poverty.
  8. Improper parent-child relationships.
